We also did this dog directed drawing activity from ABC Schoolhouse. My firsties go bonkers over directed drawing! They absolutely love it, and so do I. Besides the TON of benefits that directed drawing provides, they always turn out so. stickin'. adorable.
We also start health in the spring, and we learned about germs today. I love doing interactive writing with my first graders. One of my lower nuggets spelled soap "sope" and all I had to say was, "Vowel team!" for him to get it. :)
And can someone please share... how do I fix THIS??
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. :)

Put a bin of highlighters beside the spot where you have the children hand their work in or give the children highlighters to highlight their names before handing their work in. The children loved using the highlighters. It didn't fix all of the papers, but it made a huge difference in the number of paper handed in without names.
